Welcome to OpenFrameImages
We are all artists now
What is this site?
This site represents a creative journey. Its not a conventional photography portfolio site, but a record of events, people and creations - a travelogue, if you will.
Thank you for coming on our journey, even briefly. Thank you to all those that journey alongside us - past, present and future.
On this page you can find out more about the type of work we do, why we ended up doing it, and some of the things that seem to guide and motivate us.  Or you can always just use the menus to browse through the pics and vids – that's nice too.
Sharing our work, not giving it away
This work is shared non-commercially for the joy of creation. If one person smiles, or lifts their spirts for a moment, this is the reward. This work is copyrighted ©️ofi2012  2008-2024.  We are not giving it to you but you are welcome to use it non-commercially, attributing and sharing alike under licence CreativeCommons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International CC BY-NC-SA 4.0: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/
We can work for you
We are London-based in UK, and work in Europe & worldwide.
We do this stuff mainly for the fun and buzz of the creative experience..... But money is also good..... We do personal photography of most types, including model portfolios, social media content and stuff like that. We charge GB£50 per hour, plus GB£5 per finished high resolution JPG file / GB£30 per minute of video.
You can work for us
To model for us, you must be over 18, willing to produce photo ID/proof of age & sign our contract/model release.
We are sometimes looking for interesting models to work with.  Get in touch and let us know what you are interested in.  Maybe send us a shot or two. Some of our work is nude, but non-nude is just as good. But no adult/porn, thank you.
Credentials-wise, we have lots of nice references from models here https://purpleport.com/portfolio/miguel/?referrer=miguel and  a few here: https://www.modelmayhem.com/4151900
Are we all artists now?
How the journey got started
This is what happened. The first decade of a new millennium ends. Long-time friends and business partners, both Johnny and Miguel underwent a series of events and (to a greater or lesser extent) uncontrollable changes that bought life to a crossroads. We reacted in our separate ways, and we both pushed back against the tide.
Separately but with common purpose, we started our victimless revenge, collaborating and coming together to progress the journey.  We changed outlooks and paradigms. We sought to extract memories and enjoyment from each day that life offers. But always with responsibility, aiming to leave things a little better than when we found them.
The journey has taken us variously to work & travel around the world, start family & new businesses, totally reinvent some relationships, get in shape and much, much else.  Our journey continues today. OFI and this site is one manifestation of that journey, and especially of our shared passion for photography and creativity, and seeing the world a little differently.
You are welcome to observe our progress and/or to contribute if you wish.  In any case, we wish you well on your own journey. Our destination is, after all, the same.
Some things that we think are important
We set out "... always with responsibility, aiming to leave things a little better than when we found them..." We have a few standards to guide us towards this lofty ambition.  Here they are:
1. We own the copyright for all material on this site, including where annotated "OFI2012", “OpenFrameImages” and/or “FabricatedImage”.  Like to says above, this work is created non-commercially for the joy of creation. But it is still copyrighted ©️ofi2012  2008-2024. You are welcome to use it non-commercially, and please attribute and share alike under licence CreativeCommons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International CC BY-NC-SA 4.0: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ We are not giving it to you.  It belongs to us and we will come after you if you make any money from it (and we find out).
2. OpenFrameImages only shoots models over 18 years old with photo proof of age/ID and that have agreed to a model release contract. Period.
3. Our work often involves nudity. Model photography need not involve it, but nudity (often female) has been a part of art for thousands of years.  Debate that all day long if you want, plus what qualifies as “art” and what is actually “porn”.  Our motivation is experiential creation and any nudity is intended to contribute to evocative, emotional and artistic outcomes.  We’re always mindful of respect, consent and freedom of choice.  We make our free choices, so do our models, and others should make their own and stay away if they so prefer.  We feel no need to justify ourselves beyond that.
4. We have no sexual agenda as a part of our photography.  So please do not get in touch if you are looking for any type of sexual contact or gratification.  You are in entirely the wrong place. Non-judgmentally, there are other places specifically for that.  Get over there, you will be much better off.
5. We do some street photography of subjects that are very clearly in public places and are not compromised in any way.  We believe this to be entirely legal in all places we do it.  We do not use material if we know the subject/model to be unhappy about it.
6. Finally, we control this site and the site content is at our total discretion.  We are not interested in any negative or harmful content. By making comments or submissions to us, you give us the right to publish them (here or elsewhere) and they become our property / copyright.  But we accept no obligation to publish (or not publish) anything - there are lots of other places to sound off if you want to.
Some things we found out on the way
Bits and pieces of inspiration
I’m the bitch you hated, filth infatuated, I’m the pain you tasted, fell intoxicated.. Don’t you ever say I just walked away I will always want you. I can’t live my life running from a lie I will always want you. The bitterest pill is hard to swallow. The love I gave hangs in sad coloured mocking shadows. The bitterest pill is mine to take. If I took it for a hundred years I couldn’t feel any more ill.  Remember only god can judge us. Holding you I held everything, For a moment wasn't I the king? But if I'd only known how the king would fall Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all. And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss the dance.  When they kick at your front door How you gonna come? With your hands on your head Or on the trigger of your gun? When the law break in How you gonna go? Shot down on the pavement Or waiting in death row? Those barricades can only hold for so long. Her world collapsed early Sunday morning. She took the child held tight. Opened the window. A breath, this song, how long. And knew, knew, "belong". I had a dream I was your hero.  I’d rather be dreaming of someone than living alone. I can taste the rain on your skin. Feel the hurricane calling us in. But I lay with you till the morning. I'm gonna dance with you till the dawn. Find a shelter from the real world. Bury the sirens, hush the alarms

… the chooser of these song quotes appears to have a complex and emotionally charged personality, dealing with themes of rebellion, love, regret, confrontation, and a search for meaning and connection.
